Natural Wall Basket
These hand woven African baskets are a beautiful way to add texture to a room while using neutral colors. Designed by African women in the Tonga tribe in the Binga region of Africa, and created from locally harvested materials such as grasses, small vines, and palm leaves dyed with tree bark. Traditionally used for sifting maize, they make the most beautiful display when paired together as a collection. Each design is distinctive and remarkable and takes up to 2 weeks to complete - the craftsmanship is truely an art.
Each basket varies in size, pattern, detail, and coloration. Due to its handmade nature, no two baskets are alike. This particular lighter natural color is a subtle addition for neutral color pallets. These look lovely displayed in a set of 3.
